Dr. Vinay Prasad returns to UCSF following his service at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where he served as the Director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, as well as Chief Medical and Scientific Officer. During his time at the FDA, Dr. Prasad contributed to national discussions and policy development related to drug evaluation and biologics oversight.
Now back at UCSF, Dr. Prasad will resume clinical practice, teaching and his research, which centers on evidence-based medicine, regulatory policy, and health outcomes. He also shared that he is delighted to return to the Bay and get back to the superb hiking the area offers.
