DEB Student Research Day

The UCSF Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (DEB) is proud to introduce its inaugural Student Research Day on Tuesday May 19, 2026, a new annual tradition sponsored and organized by the DEB Culture and Collaboration Committee. This event will spotlight the remarkable breadth and depth of research across our department and affirm the essential role that student scholarship plays in sustaining a vibrant, thriving academic community. All DEB staff, students, and faculty are welcome to attend!

For students in the Epidemiology and Translational Science (ETS) PhD, Advanced Training in Clinical Research (ATCR), Implementation Science, and Health Data Science Master’s programs, the day will provide invaluable experience presenting their work and engaging with colleagues across disciplines.

Designed to be engaging, informative, and energizing, DEB Student Research Day invites all DEB students to submit abstracts for consideration. Please see the information on abstract submission and registration below.

The DEB Student Research Day is an in-person event open to all in DEB. Please complete the survey in the Registration section below so we have headcount for lunch. This will also help us plan for space and materials to accommodate poster presentations.
