Title: Multilevel Factors in Cancer Screening
Summary: Cancer screening tests are a means to reduce incidence and mortality by detecting cancer earlier when it is more treatable. While the current guidelines aim to maximize the potential benefits from screening while minimizing harms, there is still significant work needed to achieve optimal cancer screening uptake and quality, particularly in breast cancer screening and lung cancer screening. This dissertation builds upon recent research leveraging multilevel frameworks to examine factors affecting cancer screening use and quality, and their importance in clinical practice and in screening guidelines.
