Module 1: Representative Sampling

Session 1: Lecture and Journal Club

Sampling is central to study design, analytical decisions, as well as interpretation and generalizability of results. The UCSF Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Sampling Knowledge Hub is leading a series of workshops on modern sampling methods in 2020–2021 open to all UCSF affiliates. We will explore the theoretical and practical applications of these methods through four modules:

• Representative Sampling

• Hard-to-Reach Populations

• Population Size Estimation

• Internal/External Validity
