Computed Tomography (CT) is a technological marvel, which was rapidly integrated into nearly every aspect of clinical care following its discovery. It has become the work horse of imaging. But what is known of its safety? Is there reason for concern? Dr. Smith-Bindman will discuss on one of the known risks of CT  the radiation used in performing the exams and what is known about the carcinogenicity of these exposures.
