This workshop will be a balance of didactic, self-reflection, and small-group activities conducted via zoom (thanks edtech services). Dr. LaMisha Hill (Director, Multicultural Affairs -Office of Diversity and Outreach) will facilitate and DEI committee members will facilitate small group discussions. The formal flyer and learning objectives are below.

(2) This is a facilitated interactive session and breakout rooms will be used. We strongly encourage participants to utilize zoom video/audio. Breakout sessions will be assembled identity-based groups to foster productive dialogue. Please take this survey to help us assemble these breakout groups.
(3) Participant Materials: Handouts and other materials will be accessible to participants via a box folder link that will be shared leading up to the workshop.
(4) Recording: The session will be recorded and shared pending our ability to ensure that only didactic and presenter content is shared (no small group materials etc. will be shared).

June 8th workshop objectives:
▪ Review didactic information on power, privilege, and allyship
▪ Apply concepts of power, privilege, and allyship amid COVID-19 and shelter-in-place (SiP)
▪ Identify 1-2 strategies for allyship during COVID-19/SiP
A combination of didactic, individual reflection and small group discussions will allow attendees to
develop skills applicable act as an ally during COVID-19. This session builds on past content, but
previous session attendance is not necessary. Everyone is welcome!
