Adaptive clinical trial designs are not new, but uptake has not been as high as many predicted 10-20 years ago. In this talk, Phillips will describe the basic principles underpinning adaptive trial designs and discuss different types of designs highlighting their advantages, challenges, and suitability for different settings.
