Epi Tools Workshop with Melinda Power

Dr. Power will provide an introduction to what marginal structural models (MSMs) estimated with inverse probability weighting are doing and how they allow us to recover causal effects that are difficult or impossible to estimate with traditional models. This will be followed by an overview of the estimation process and a presentation of an example where Dr. Power used MSMs to estimate the impact of age at onset of hypertension and duration of hypertension on cognitive status.
