Collaborations among various organizations, such as healthcare providers, grocery stores and IT companies, often play a crucial role in addressing complex challenges that would be unattainable for a single organization to resolve independently. However, the decentralized nature of organizations and security concerns have significantly hindered such collaborations thus far. In this talk, we will explore emerging research directions in machine learning that seek to facilitate inter-organizational assistance in a decentralized, personalized and privacy-preserving manner.
