Proud Moments, Bright Futures—Honoring the Class of 2025

On May 16, UCSF’s Graduate Division celebrated its largest-ever commencement, recognizing 195 master’s and PhD graduates across 24 programs—including graduates from our very own PhD in Epidemiology & Translational Science, MS in Clinical & Epidemiological Research, and MS in Health Data Science programs.

It was a day of pride, reflection, and joy as graduates, faculty, families, and friends gathered at the historic Herbst Theatre. Professor Mark Ansel delivered a powerful keynote reminding us that science, at its best, is a tool for collective transformation. We invite you to celebrate with us! Enjoy photos of some of our own DEB graduates as they crossed the stage, marked milestones, and stepped into their next chapter.

To experience the full ceremony, including the keynote and faculty tributes, you can watch the recording here: Watch the 2025 Graduate Division Commencement Ceremony.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025—your work is already making a difference. We’re proud to be part of your journey.
