Data Science Training to Advance Behavioral and Social Science Expertise for Health Disparities Research (DaTABASE)

The UCSF Data Science Training to Advance Behavioral and Social Science Expertise for Health Research (DaTABASE) provides training in advanced data analytics to predoctoral researchers studying behavioral and social determinants of health. DaTABASE trainees complete the rigorous methodological training required for the PhD in Epidemiology and Translational Science and receive additional content training focused on applying those analytic tools to novel data sets for research on behavioral and social processes underlying health disparities

Training for Research in Aging and Chronic Disease (NIA T32)

This program, which is open only to the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics doctoral students, emphasizes integration of evidence from populations to translational applications in practice and policy. It focuses on chronic diseases and aging, including Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, cancer, musculoskeletal and cardiometabolic disorders.

Yearlong Inquiry Program

A yearlong pre-doctoral program open to students in UCSF Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Dentistry, YIP provides training and mentorship to predoctoral students in clinical and translational research methodology and practice.
